Flooring for Garforth and east Leeds villages
Garforth sits on the eastern edge of Leeds, close to where the M1 meets the A1(M). It is a popular commuter town with a busy Main Street. Around it are attractive villages: Barwick-in-Elmet with its tall maypole, Kippax, Swillington, Micklefield and Aberford near Lotherton Hall. Homes range from 1930s semis to large modern estates and character properties in the conservation villages. Garforth is about 28 miles from our Doncaster showroom via the A1(M), comfortably within reach for a free home visit.
Surefit Carpets is a family-run business, trading since 1998, and an approved retailer for Karndean, Quick-Step, Brintons and Ulster Carpets. Our own team fits every floor.
Ideas for Garforth homes
Modern family homes
Many newer Garforth houses have open-plan kitchen-diners with garden doors. Karndean luxury vinyl in an oak plank or herringbone LVT layout gives these rooms a designed finish that handles family life. Upstairs, replacing standard carpet with a soft saxony or a 100% wool carpet makes an immediate difference to comfort and quiet.
1930s semis and extended homes
Older semis often have a knocked-through living space and a rear extension. Running Quick-Step laminate or Karndean from front to back unifies the rooms. A hard-wearing woven carpet from Brintons or Ulster Carpets keeps the stairs smart.
Village character homes
In Barwick-in-Elmet and Aberford, stone cottages and period houses suit natural textures and careful subfloor preparation.
Popular in Garforth
- Oak and herringbone Karndean for open-plan kitchens

We can also co-ordinate with your kitchen fitter so hard flooring goes down at the right stage. If you are near Lotherton or out towards Aberford, let us know when you book, so we can plan the route and bring the right samples for an older property.
